This track is a Grade A-Dr.Dre stamped-heater. It’s nothing crazy new but its just the kind of concrete production you expect and love from Dre. Its so funny because just last week we were thinking about how much time we spend in our Phantom, so much so that its even in our dreams (and nowhere else). These thoughts were spawned by the sight of a woman strapping her baby into his carseat in a Phantom outside of Whole Foods. Like Game’s pipe dreams on “Phantom” we thought to ourselves, ‘a car seat in a Phantom?!’ That’s baller! That woman will probably be very happy to hear this song as someone who obviously uses her Phantom for everything. Next time we’re going to ask her for a ride. We don’t mind babysitting in the back of a Phantom. C’mon, say Phantom. Say it, Phantom.

How can Robin Thicke even think about sex in the morning?! It’s pretty easy if you wake up in a tropical paradise with Paula Patton by your side day in, day out. This morning we woke up sweating because our apartments were receiving a blast of heat in the middle of May due to a week of unexpected Fall weather. Maybe if we imagine our body pillow was Robin Thicke and our fire escape was actually a terrace in Bermuda we’d also be ready for a spontaneous romp at dawn.

We’re not trying to sound bitter. The morning agenda can always be spiced up by adding lovemaking to it: showers or breakfast. Snoop’s verse is the added sensual seduction for this pancake and whip cream dish. Watch below.

R&B juggernauts, they have to collide sometime, and when they do, there is hell to pay—in panties! Yep, it comes with the territory when you’re Usher and Robin Thicke. Together though, the world is their oyster. Who better to lay new claim to “The Secret Garden,” you know the “Swagger Like Us” of R&B tunes. The only problem is that there’s only two (count ‘em) billed on the record? WTF?

All the hype surrounding remaking Q’s classic and we don’t even have enough people to play a decent game of hoops. This has got to be a huge let down for purists looking for authenticity, not ostentatiousness. If anyone was gonna bring home a “W” with this cover was Jermaine Dupri who had Anthony Hamilton, and Trey Songz on his wish list. Man, that was big talk. Al B. Sure is still kicking around on Hidden Beach Recordings, why not have him anchor with Barry White? The biggest improvement is some soothing Miami bass bounce, and Usher chanting “let me see it.” Pimp C would be proud. Still we’re a little disappointed. The only way to salvage this in time for Q’s Soul Bossa Nostra album is to perform it live at an awards show, and maybe, just maybe get enough players to get the job done. Dear Paula Patton, our jealousy knows no bounds. Seriously, just listening to this song makes us feel like we’re headed for a sensual romp in the wee hours of daylight with a rooster crowing in the distance. Our only question is, Can we brush our teeth first? Although lets be real, Thicke is so smooth he probably wakes up with fresh breath, ready to have at it. As for Snoop, if he can convince women to wear leashes in public, early mornin’ mayhem is child’s play. This should have you checking up on how many sick days you have left because this kind of wake up inevitably leads to calling out.

Shapely soothsayer that she is, she actually foretold her own e-fame on Robin Thicke’s “Shakin It For Daddy,” singing You was sleepin on me thinkin it was slumber time/Now I’m a trending topic, lil mama number sign. The talk of twitter was being railed for her most recent appearance on BET’s 106 and Park, one that included some baroque shop teacher safety goggles and and tragic looking blonde wig (weave?). No matter the specifics, the offending visual can be found above, and below, a little advice in the form of hip hop legends Brand Nubian’s early 90’s plea to the youth.

This is the Thicke we love to hear: that velvet smooth falsetto on some throwback beats and an unstoppable chorus. We’re not even mad at Game—in fact his voice complements Thicke’s quite nicely. Plus they’ve got that whole LA connection. We’ll accept diamonds from Thicke as long as they’re not blood diamonds. Which means, Robin, we love you baby, but hook us up with some Swarovskis, word?

Robin Thicke wants to go all Christina Aguilera on us and “Dirty It Up”. A newly leaked track alleged to be from his upcoming album is how we get there. Still making the rounds of his tour with Jennifer Hudson, there’s no official word on when we can expect the album though. This upbeat track is reminiscent of “Magic” and though a bit more adult. Put the kids to bed for this one!
