Amerie, “Who’s Gonna Love U” MP3
Amerie is probably the most slept on R&B singer of the past decade, point-blank-period. Besides the fact that her voice has a quality and range that leave many of her peers in the dust, her ability to sing over big banger beats and not get lost is the true mark of her amazing talent. This girl could sing over the kind of bass that makes your car jump back and forth while your ears bleed and still not be overpowered. Maybe she should do a ridiculous dubstep jam? There’s enough swagger in her voice and personality to pull off anything.
After sitting down with her a few months back, we’re convinced any man that left her for another girl most likely downgraded astronomically. So we’re pretty sure this song is hitting a few old boyfriends right where it hurts. Amerie, however, just got engaged so we’re not too worried about it and neither is she, we presume.

Bruno Mars f. Lloyd, “Dance In The Mirror” MP3
Bruno and Lloyd singing is like chocolate covered pretzels, the perfect opposites. Lloyd’s rasp has long been on our Suite903 sexy mixtape and Bruno’s voice is a great counterpoint. We’re sort of melting in our chairs right now but that may just be this heatwave weather. We wish we had the time to dance in the mirror for our lovers every morning but we’re usually running around nude trying to put on underwear and eat toast at the same time.

Ciara, “One More Dance” MP3
This does not sound like the new (rappin’ and ridin’ dirty) Ci-Ci we hear lately, but we still love it. There’s a life support beep just going off in all those synths. We like to think its the sound of Ciara’s reign coming back to life. This is a dance track that could have been left out from Fantasty Ride, so they say. We say it’s more befitting for the glam girls, not the around the way ones she’s repping. And by default, “One More Dance” showcases what Ciara does best: work her body!
Seriously, we hope her next album has no ballads because we do not need them. We want leotard-wearing, sweat ’til your hair looks straight, hip-bone-injuring, seven-inch heel-stompin’ jams. All these R&B dudes are trying to get people pregnant this summer. Cee is just trying to keep you in shape.

Game f. Justin Timberlake and Pharrell, “Ain’t No Doubt About It” MP3
Game is definitely thinking outside the box. For a guy who does a good job at boasting about the west coast’s best weather, women, and weed, he can immediately lose you when the elephant in the room is one of his random suicidal thoughts. His disposition is a lot sunnier though in his new single from The R.E.D Album thanks to a fun, quirky beat by Pharrell.
With P and Justin Timberlake in Game’s ranks, “Ain’t No Doubt About It” actually makes this west coast tough cookie more soft batch, for the ladies. Game’s G is strong with women as is his video game skills. He’s never been modest about either one of them. Listen to Jayceon walk a somewhat new path after the jump.

Marques Houston Has Us Kickin and Screamin
This may come as a surprise but we receive pounds and pounds of CDs a week not to mention submissions via e-mail. Usually we sift through them carefully amidst our speedblogging and daily morning coffee chug contest. Although we only really listen to the ones that have shiny covers; sometimes we pick some based on music. Anyway, here at Suite903 once you give us a jam we tend to try and believe in you for a while. So we were kinda excited to see that Marques Houston had a new single. To our chagrin, what we received was the worst example of CD promo and a lesson in why it was so hard to win us over. We’ll break down our disappointment for you and let you hear the single for yourself after the jump.

Trey Songz, “Already Taken” MP3
Trey, this is sweet and we want to believe that you’re “Already Taken” but everywhere we go all we hear is “Say Ahh.” If you are a changed man you’re going to have to prove it to us and our neighbors. Either way we like this track a lot and its a little different than your usual. It’s also pretty different from Polow Da Don’s usual mega jams. As our friends over at The FADER pointed out it sounds like it’s drawing from an unexpected source. Wherever it might be we love surprises. Trey Songz is having like the best year ever. So go on dear friend, no hate here.

Kelis Dual MP3 Leak: “4th of July” “22nd Century” (Update)
After the Black Eyed Peas dominated 2009 with “I Got A Feeling,” pretty much every special occasion has to be ruined celebrated with the song once the confetti starts flying. There’s no denying Will.i.am’s talent, or his eye for it—Shakur, even Fergie (::cringe::)—which is why it’s hard to be mad at him producing Kelis’ Interscope album, Flesh Tone.
Coming from left-field not looking or sounding like other pop females pre-Y2K, no one also saw the next wave of ladies that would be cut from the same cloth as Kelis Rogers. Not putting out new material in four years hasn’t knocked her off her pedestal but her seat is definitely up for grabs. That’s why it should be no surprise to see Kelis traveling another road less-traveled having internationally renowned DJ/producers at the helm, and now Free School (prod. Kid Cudi’s “Up Up & Away, and “Heart of a Lion”) whip up a near 6 minute song, long enough for a bathroom break in the middle of the fireworks. Remember Wanderland put her far ahead of her American a-alikes earning her an instant European following. After the jump, she straps the U.S. on her back for Independence Day.

MP3: The Dream f. T.I. “F.I.L.A. (Fall In Love Again)”

We don’t know how we could have mistaken Summer ‘09 as “Summer of Love” when The Dream’s third album is dropping in Summer 2010. Forgive us for dropping the ball on that one. Besides our killer farmer’s tans and the thought of guzzling barbecue sauce, there’s nothing else we’re more excited for this season than Love King. The Dream and hot weather make for some magical, FANTASTIC lunacy. This is just one more song to blast with the windows down. As always there are the sharp keys that make up every Dream banger ever mixed with T.I.’s lethargic (read: super chill) flow, marking the return of two great things. With all the volcano / earthquake drama, we’re figuring the apocalypse might be around the corner on some 2012 shit so between that and this, we are certainly gonna live it up and go out with a bang!
P.S. NYC peeps: The Dream will be performing this Thursday at The Highline Ballroom. If you see a group of folks with their eyes glazed over in awe, moving their bodies like slinkies by the stage, that would be us! Purchase your tickets here.
