Raheem Devaughn f. Everyone in Neo Soul, “Nobody Wins a War” MP3

This is what that “We are the World” remake should have been: a group of singers (Raheem, Jill Scott, Bilal, Anthony Hamilton, Algebra, Chrisette Michele, Shelby Johnson, Ledisi, Citizen Cope, Dwele, Chico DeBarge and Rudy Currence) SINGING about conscious shit to move the people. There are so many talented people on this song we were scared our eardrums would explode but there are no ridiculous solos or singers getting crazy and yelling over each other. There is, however, Jill Scott preaching for a good minute at the end, which we’ve never been known to mind because we are members of the Jill Scott Soul Church of the Miracle of SAANGIN. Raheem’s album drops today. -Judnick Mayard
Video: The Suite for Ma Dukes Orchestra f. Dwele, “Angel”

Dwele and a full orchestra, we’ll take it. This dropped yesterday which was the fourth anniversary of Dilla’s passing, and it’s from Timeless, a limited edition three DVD boxset devoted to him. Watch it here.
Suite903 TV: Dwele Talks Bathtubs and Candlelight

No one doesn’t like Dwele. He is the embodiment of this website, he is the embodiment of everything that is beautiful and pure. We were terribly fortunate when he stopped by the Suite903 HQ to talk about his music, his soul, and his acting aspirations. You will watch it and it will feel like a long dip in a jacuzzi bath with some candles… which incidentally Dwele discusses in this video.

Dwele, “Spiritual”
Is this not heart-wrenching? The modulated keyboard chords behind his sweet voice say it all.
Dwele, “Subscribe To My Imagination”
There was a rubble dubble, five minutes it lasted, these videos say, “You are, you conceited bastard”
The legendary Pete Rock has been known for including some of the illest beat interludes on his albums. We’re talking interludes that people end up wishing were full songs. Not unlike Soul Brother #1, Dwele (and his band of brother Dweles) find his own interludes so raw that he’s shooting videos for every one on Sketches Of A Man.
Dwele – How I Deal (Waitin On Obama)
Back when we were all kind of “waiting on Obama,” the original rappa ternt sanga, Dwele voiced his angst over a clean little MPC bounce that we wish had made it onto Sketches Of A Man. Now coming up, were given the impression that white frames were for crazies, but Dwele seems to have a better hold on things than alot of us.
