Lil Wayne f. Drake, “Right Above It” MP3
In Lil Wayne’s absence, we actually haven’t been swamped by his songs like his takeover of our eardrums circa 2006. During his time in the clink, his Rebirth album and less mixtapes than usual for Weezy have given us a chance to actually realize he’s gone. Then of course, Young Money had to go to work. So now that something so celebratory as “Right Above It” reaches us, it actually has a little more meaning than the daily swim in his bottomless pool of studio sessions. DJ Clue premiered this from Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being EP, due in September. Feels like Wayne’s already home.

Light Up: Will Rita Ora Take Over Roc Nation?
What’s a Jay-Z blueprint without girls, girls, girls? With the exception of Amil, a lady under Jigga’s wing has as much potential, if not more than the Roc Boys (sorry Bleek). Which brings us to
Rita Sahatçiu Ora, the Albanian-born singer, raised in the UK, now a jewel on his Roc Nation label. We know what you’re thinking: Jay-Z’s executive decisions suck a million. Try looking at Rihanna who evolved from a bubbly teenie-bopper sensation into the edgy rated R pop star. So Ri Ri isn’t the last girl on Earth after all because Ri-ta, her European a-alike is already running London town leaving behind her cute glow in music and movies. After the jump see how her aura is spreading. Lights, please.

Drake, “Do It All” MP3
UPDATE: The word is “Do It All,” produced by Rob Holladay is from No More Thank Yous. A misfire on yesterday’s drop date?
Drake’s wordplay never wanes even on this outtake from Thank Me Later. As for his conflicted feelings about fame, there is only so much room for one more to the fray, which is why it would make sense to go with a heater like “Over” and not modest low simmer of “Do It All.” Apparently “Do It All” comes from a mixtape of non-album material (i.e. “You Know, You Know”), and by the looks of it, so far, hold up pretty nicely without being part of a practically-gold-album-in-a-week whole.

Rick Ross f. Drake and Chrisette Michele, “Aston Martin Music” MP3
Rick Ross could hold a fleet week for the amount of songs he’s released inspired by automobiles. In addition to “Aston Martin Music,” Teflon Don already has “Maybach Music III,” and of course the video for “Super High” put him at the wheel of a motorcycle. Uh, “Speedin’” and “Yacht Music” have been covered. Pretty much all the baller ways to travel are in RAWSE’s garage (or stable). Maybe Richard Branson can either lone him a hot air balloon or spaceship for his next travels, just saying.

Inside Drake’s Thank Me Later Liner Notes
The FADER’s weekly visual accompaniment to a random tidbit of information takes on Drake’s Thank Me Later liner notes. Drake’s gratitude is way too much just for two pages, neatly text-wrapped around a photo of himself. Here FADER’s editorial team condensed it into a more readable chart.

Drake f. Gyptian, “Find Your Love” (Jon FX Remix) MP3
The Yardie/Yankee affair continues with this remix of Drake’s hit. We’re guessing Drake’s massive show of love for JA in the video for this tune probably helped bring this on. Producer Jon FX puts his dancehall twist on the song to make it dub worthy. If you’re scratching your head as to who he might be, we’ll just remind you of a little track called Soul Survivor (RMX)/Gun Session with Shabba, Akon, Sizzla and Vybz Kartel that he dropped on us a some years back. Drake’s voice sounds right at home on reggae where all the dudes like to sing a little melody. Gyptian adds his own riffs to the background and BOOM we have a great bashment jam for the summer. You’ll never hear the original again!

Drake f. Alicia Keys, “Fireworks” MP3
If we were to suggest that Drake and Alicia Keys formed their own supergroup called Intermix would people riot? Would another crossover between Drizzy and A. Keys be too much to handle—kinda like when you eat pop rocks with soda in an attempt to see if your stomach really will explode? You know what else would explode: Drake if he actually fell in love any time within the next ten years. Lets be real dude you’re hotter than Usain Bolt’s socks and you want to settle down? Girls experience spontaneous combustion at the mere thought of being in the same room as you. You are at your peak of heartthrob-ness. Stop being silly. On another note to Alicia: that’s what she said.

Alicia Keys f. Drake, “Unthinkable (I’m Ready)” Remix MP3
We were satisfied with Drake layered underneath the “Unthinkable” original but we have never been ones to turn down a Drake verse. We will however question the validity of Drake being worried about being single for the rest of his life when he’s only 23. Some of us are about that age and we do not need any more reasons to panic. 23-year-olds have issues like: school loans, not being able to fit dance shoes (or leotards) anymore and early hair loss. It could be a catalyst to being single in your 30s! Prioritize Drizzy!
