King Britt f. Astrid Suryanto, “Now” MP3
King Britt reserves the right to do whatever he damn well pleases, so though some of you may be sad that The Intricate Beauty will be the King’s last “‘conventional’ dance album, Britt is moving on to more experimental projects. As a farewell to the conventional dance scene, he posted “NOW” to the FiveSix Media page in preparation for the release of the full album in April. The entire album consists of sounds that Britt has collected from various sources, all pieced together in Ableton as a sort of collage. Though mostly instrumental, Britt brought in emerging Indonesian vocal talent Astrid Suryanto for this track to bring a sensual side to the album. Accordingly he created this track only for the “oh so sexy.”

I first heard about him through his work on the HBO series True Blood. Britt lives life in the NOW, and I definitely like the way you describe his piecing together of various sounds. He has talent and its nice to see him having some attention.
