Despite being sans label, Lloyd continues to drop tracks and/or have the voice of a swathe of silk, dripping tracks on deliciously syrupy neo-quiet storm beats, this one produced by Jim Jonsin. He’s the one new dude that could believably sing a Mike Jack track and not offend or swagger jack: his voice has the same airy quality that feels like floating in a pool under the sun, even on this “MJB the MVP”-style autobiographical jam.
