Meleka, “Go (Crazy Cousins RMX)”

UK funky diva Meleka plays the archetypal vengeful dissed chick in the new video for her hype/hot Crazy Cousins-remixed single. The new strain of UK funky house remixes have been jazzing up Brit songbirds in the best way possible, shaking up the same ol’ same ol’ boring old soul and jamming it out to sound fresh and modern. The original of “Go” was a sort of middling Kelly Rowland-ish affair, but the remix is enough of a jam she made the video for it—go on, girl! She’s got a taste for bassline, too, so we’ll let her work it out.
