The Roots & Erykah Badu, “Where You Are (Michael Jackson Tribute)”
Amidst all the rehashed Michael Jackson mixtapes, tribute podcasts and unofficial remixes, there were but a couple of gems that may have slipped past your ears. The evening following his death the legendary Roots crew hosted Eryhah Badu during their taping of the Jimmy Fallon Show, where she broke it down in memory of the king of pop. Badu voiced a version of “Beat It” as well as the below “Where You Are,” revealing Michael and herself as truly kindred spirits.

Started great but I quickly grew annoyed w Erykah’s voice.
She sounds to nasally!
